Percy's Uni-CORNER
Togetherness

Hi, friends, it's Percy Unicorn! This month is November -- the time that we celebrate Thanksgiving. What do you think of when you hear Thanksgiving? My favorite part of Thanksgiving is getting to spend time with my family and friends, and especially people who might live far away. It’s also a good time to give thanks, and enjoy cozy traditions, laughter, and fun activities. Why not make a new tradition: come to the Library and choose some books and games to share on the holiday! Happy Thanksgiving!

Percy's Tip for Grown-Ups: Kids who understand how to feel and express gratitude usually grow up to have better mindfulness and interpersonal skills. Learn how to teach thankfulness at Thanksgiving and year-round with All for Kids.

Percy's making...

A Thankful Chain!

Why? Because it makes a great Thanksgiving decoration, and the whole family can get involved! Simply cut construction paper strips, and then write or draw what you're thankful for on one side of the strip. You can make your chain all in one day, or you can watch it grow all month long!

Percy's visiting...

Dinovember!

Why? Because Percy loves dinosaurs -- don't you? Visit Ostrander Branch Library on November 4 to travel back in time to the land of dinosaurs! Dig up dinosaur STEAM activities as you learn more about prehistoric creatures. This is a drop-in event that the whole family can enjoy!
