We’re just a month away from the election, which makes it the perfect time to think about whether you’re registered and ready to vote. If you’ve moved recently or aren’t sure if you’re registered, your library stands ready to help! You can visit any DCDL location to complete and submit a voter registration form or absentee ballot request form. Monday, October 6 is the last day to register. If you have any doubt about whether you’re registered, one of our reference librarians can help, or you can visit our online voter information page to find helpful links to check your registration online, find your polling location, and more.

This Month's Recommended Read
Reviewed by Christine Photos,
Your fellow Mature Reader
I recommend this book for many reasons. The characters are multi-faceted and well described. They are strong and interesting women and the book describes their lives in depth. The story is suspenseful, the book is a page-turner, and has a satisfying ending! It's set in the early 1950's, in a woman's boarding house in Washington, DC. The story and characters capture one's attention from the very start!

If you've enjoyed this edition of the Mature Reader, please share it with your friends! We'll be back next month with more just for you.
