Percy's Uni-CORNER
Art!

Hi, friends, it's Percy Unicorn! Did you know that no matter how old you are, you can join Summer Reading Club? Even if you don't read yet, it counts every time a grown-up reads to you. You'll win prizes at the 6-hour reading mark, and at 12-hours, you'll get to choose a new book to keep forever! Your grown-up can join Summer Reading Club, too, and get prizes of their own. This year, the theme is "Libraries Color Our World." I love coloring and making art, so I was excited to see this year's creative theme and programs! I hope to see you in the Library soon.

Percy's Tip for Grown-Ups: Arts and crafts provide a fun way for children to practice things like their fine motor skills, self-expression, and problem-solving. Learn more in this article from the Children's Museum of Sonoma County.

Alma's Art is inspired by the little-known African American painter Alma Woodsey Thomas, the treasured expressionist who made her national debut in the art world at age 80.

Sesame Street Art Museum!

Why? Because everyone is making a painting to hang in Sesame Street’s art museum! Rudy wants to paint a rainbow, but he can’t make the perfect purple. Will he figure out which colors to mix in time for the art show?
