Percy's Uni-CORNER
Medieval Faire!

Hi, friends, it's Percy Unicorn! It's time for my favorite DCDL event: Medieval Faire! If you like reading about knights, princesses, dragons, and unicorns, Medieval Faire is for you. Join us at Ostrander Library on Saturday, June 21 from 11 am to 3 pm for jousting games, a blacksmith, and a host of medieval performers. Come inside to make a flying dragon paper airplane, listen to stories, or play tabletop games. Outside, you can dance around the Maypole, visit the horses, or take aim at a target with a bow and arrow. Dressing up is encouraged so put on your favorite costume and bring your whole family.

Percy's Tip for Grown-Ups: Pretend play and dressing up allows children to make choices, practice working together, and experience the outcome of decisions in a safe way. It also supports their cognitive, social, emotional, and language development.

Medieval Crown

Percy's making...

his own Medieval Crown!

Why? Because it's simple with a grownup's help, and you can wear it to Medieval Faire! All you need is construction paper, scissors, and tape, glue, or other fasteners. Use markers, stickers, glitter, or anything else you like to make it sparkle and shine!

Make it!
Moonlight Castle game

Percy's playing...

Moonlight Castle!

Why? Because it's fun! Moonlight Castle is great for kids ages 5+. A wizard has stolen gems, and it's up to you to get them back. Can you sneak in and replace the stolen gems with pebbles before you get caught?

Play it!

That's all for now!
