Weather

Hi, friends, it's Percy! This month is March -- a month that grownups say "comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb." What that means is that sometimes the weather is harsh at the begnning the month, and maybe even cold and icy. But by the end of the month, it's warmer and we might see spring flowers like tulips and daffodils popping up! This month we're going to talk about weather in all its forms: snowy, sunny, rainy, hot, and windy. What's your favorite kind of weather? I like rain... because after a storm, there's always a chance for a rainbow!

Percy's Tip for Grown-Ups: Encouraging young kids to observe and talk about the weather is a great way to inspire scientific thinking! The Illinois Early Learning Project has some great tips for young learners.
