Author Meet & Greet & Ice Cream Social

Thursday, April 4 | noon - 2 pm | North Market

The Friends of the Delaware County District Library are excited to host author Zibby Owens for an ice cream social event at the North Market in Columbus. "Blank" is her debut novel about marriage, motherhood, and finding your purpose. Tickets are FREE and include a Jeni's Ice Creams Street Treat. Books will be available for purchase and signing from Beanbag Books. While you're visiting the North Market, grab lunch from one of the many merchants on the first floor, then take the stairs or elevator to the second floor for the meet and greet with Zibby and fellow book lovers.

Friday, April 5 | 5 pm

Join us at Delaware Main Library to add more books, DVDs, and other resources to your personal library at a bargain! The sale starts Friday evening from 5-8 pm, and continues on Saturday, April 6 from 9 am - 3 pm. Have donations? You can drop your gently used items at any DCDL location for donation to the Friends of the Library.

Our equipment can digitize photographic prints, slides, negatives, VHS tapes, vinyl records, and cassette tapes. Come see a demonstration and get answers to your questions! Learn how to begin, where to go, and everything you need to observe birds in our community!

Outreach and Delivery Services

Outreach Services

Have you met our Outreach Department? Outreach Services extends the library beyond our walls by bringing books, DVDs and other library materials to those who can't come to the Library in person. For individuals with physical limitations, Outreach Services will deliver materials to your home once a month. Memory Care packages are available for those experiencing dementia, Alzheimer's, and other memory loss diseases. Outreach can also help with Ohio's Talking Book Program, providing free recorded books, magazines, and playback equipment to visually impaired residents. On April 8, 2024, a solar eclipse will cross North America, and people within a 124-mile-wide band in the state of Ohio will experience a total solar eclipse. The last total solar eclipse visible in Ohio was in 1806. The next total solar eclipse in Ohio will be in the year 2099. If you don't have a good view at your home, consider visiting one of Preservation Parks' locations, but make a plan now to arrive early.
