The letter H is also for...

This week's tip: Trace and say letters to reinforce learning. Have your child use a finger to trace a letter while using the letter's sound. Do this on paper, in sand, or on a plate of sugar.

Sing

I Know a Chicken: A hen is a female chicken! Sing this fun song with the Laurie Berkner Band.

Empathy

Help clean up. Children need to be able to pick up after themselves in the classroom and cafeteria. Teaching them how to help clean up at home will make cleaning up at school easier. Picking up toys, clearing the table, and using a hand held vacuum to sweep up crumbs are great ways young children can help clean.

The Color WHITE

What is white? White is the color of snow, clouds, and cotton balls! What other things can you think of that are white? Look around: can you find one, two, three, or more things that are the color white?

💡 Play time tip! Make a sensory bin using white rice or cotton balls. Add white blocks, small animals, pipe cleaners, pom poms, and other white objects to the bin for your children to find.

We hope you have fun this week! We'll be back next week with the letter I.
