This week's tip: Did you know your child can have their own Library card? Help your child check out a variety of books that you can read together.

Empathy

Glue. Teach your child the simple rhyme, "Just a dot, not a lot!" -- it's the easiest way to remember how to use liquid glue! Liquid glue is also a great way to practice coordination. Use glue to create lines, shapes or their name on a piece of construction paper. When dry, have your child trace the glue with their finger.

The Color PINK

Pink is a happy color! What things can you spot in this newsletter that are the color pink? Visit your library to read the book Pinkalicious, about a little girl who eats so many pink cupcakes that she herself turns pink.

💡 Play time tip! Make pink milk! Pour a glass of milk, and stir in a drop of red food coloring. How many drops does it take to make the perfect shade of pink? Count them as you go.

We hope you have fun this week! We'll be back next week with the letter H.
