The letter F is also for...

This week's tip: Narrative skills -- being able to describe things and tell stories -- are important for kids to learn. An easy way to help build these skills is to show your child the cover of a book and ask them to tell you what they think the book will be about.

Sing

Slippery Fish: Join Yaya and Nono for a fun sing-along about fish and other things that live in the ocean.

First Orchard: F is for fruit! First orchard is a fun first game for preschoolers. Try to gather all the fruit from the orchard before the raven gobbles it up!

Empathy

Folders. Many teachers will ask students to put papers in a "take-home folder." Practice putting a single sheet of paper, multiple papers, and papers stapled together into a folder's pockets.

The Color PURPLE

Blue plus red makes PURPLE! Maybe you learned that last week with the color mixing activity. Look at the picture of Percy Unicorn. What parts of Percy are purple? What other purple things can you think of?

💡 Play time tip! Make a "purple things" collage! Grab items from around your home that are purple and put them together. How many items can you find?

We hope you have fun this week! We'll be back next week with the letter G.
