This week's tip: Help your child try out different writing utensils. Do your kids always use crayons? Try some markers, chalk, paint brushes, or pencils. Making them familiar with these tools will make them more comfortable using them in school.

Let's Wait for Yellow: This song comes courtesy of Netflix Jr., and celebrates yellow -- the color of bananas, school buses, and sunshine!

Count Your Chickens: Oh no -- the baby chicks have flown the coop! Work together to get them back to the coop, but watch out for the fox!

Cutting! Scissors might feel intimidating, but kids will need to use them in school. Grab some scrap paper and draw staight, zigzag, and wavy lines, then have your child try cutting along the lines. Be sure to use safety scissors when your child is practicing cutting skills!

The Color YELLOW

We have lots of yellow things in this week's email! Ask your child to point to them, and then count them together.

💡 Play time tip! Look for yellow things in your daily life: in your yard (flowers, leaves, decorations), at the grocery store (produce, packaging), and in your home (toys, clothes). See how many yellow things you can spot and name!
