❄️ SNOW! ❄️

Happy New Year, friends! It's a brand new year. Some people like to make special promises to themselves at the beginning of a new year; they're called resolutions. My resolutions are to read a new book every week, and to play in the snow as soon as we get some! When there's lots of snow, I like to build snow friends. I also like to go sledding down big hills with my friends. But my favorite part of playing outside on snowy days might be coming back inside to warm up with a mug of hot chocolate (and don't forget the marshmallows!). What do you like to do on snowy days?

Percy's Tip for Grown-Ups: Snow offers lots of opportunities for creative outdoor play, along with a heaping dose of healthy exercise! Check out this great list of activities from Take Them Outside.

The Snowball Fight

Percy's watching...

The Snowball Fight!

Why? Because snowball fights are fun! Noticing Little Bear's cabin fever and Father Bear's frustration working on a budget, Mother Bear sends them out for a walk in the snow which turns into a giant snowball fight.

Snow Search

Percy's playing...

Snow Search!

Why? Because Sid the Science Kid knows a big snow leads to big fun! This free game from PBS Kids asks players to use a shovel to help Sid find all the things in the yard that have been covered by the snow.
