Custom Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles

November 15 @ 3:30 pm

Custom wooden jigsaw puzzles are great, fun-to-make gifts! In part 1 of this class (November 8), you'll use the Sublimation Printer at Liberty Maker Studio to press an image onto a prepared piece of wood. Learners are encouraged to bring a photo or image for their custom puzzle to the first class. In part 2 (November 15), we'll meet at the Delaware Maker Studio to use the laser cutter to cut the design into pieces.

Special flag ceremony! Please join us outside the main entrance of Liberty Branch Library at 4:45 pm on Tuesday, November 21 for a short flag-raising ceremony to commemorate the new flagpole at the branch.

Friends of the Library Annual Meeting & Speakers

Wednesday, November 8 | 6 pm

Please join us at Delaware Main Library to hear from local historian Brent Carson and Delaware Hayes High School principal Dr. Ric Stranges. Their new book, "Carried Treasures: Stories of Delaware County, Ohio" debuts this fall! Their presentation will follow a brief annual meeting and election of officers for the Friends of the DCDL.

DIY Crafts:

Recycled Bird Feeder

Get inspired to recycle and repurpose materials! In this class, you'll create your own bird feeder from recycled bottles. Your feathered friends will enjoy this craft that you can take home -- and you'll get to enjoy the visitors to your feeder all winter long! All materials for the class will be provided. Registration is required.

Do you like to share your ideas and reactions about titles you've read? Join our evening book club for a fun, entertaining discussion. This month's selection is "Her Deadly Game" by Robert Dugoni. Our evening book club meets monthly, and is great for casual conversation in a relaxed environment.

Friends of the Library Bargain Book Sale

The Friends of the Library (FOL) are hosting a Bargain Book Fair. Come in and shop anytime from 10 am - 3 pm to add more books, DVDs, and resources to your personal library at a bargain. The Friends are very excited to share their new space at Liberty Branch Library!

Delaware County Veterans & Heroes

If you, a relative or someone you know has served in any branch of the armed forces, and has a connection with Delaware County, we would love to hear from you! Delaware County Veterans and Heroes is a project of DCDL which seeks to gather, preserve and make accessible the experiences of all county veterans. Please consider sharing your stories, photos, and records with our historians via our website.

Veterans may also be interested in the Delaware Community Veterans Parade in Delaware on Sunday, November 5 from 3-5 pm. The parade will be preceded by a Veterans social from noon to 2:30 pm at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.

Presented by the Delaware County Veterans Association, the 14th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast & Ceremony will commence at 8:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast followed by a presentation on The Making of the Ohio Fallen Heroes Memorial. Seating is limited and reservations are required please save you place by November 1!
