Team Trivia

Saturday, August 19 @ 2 pm

Are you the king (or queen) of random facts? Join us at Liberty Branch Library to test your trivia skills! Grab your knowledgeable friends and register as a team (teams are limited to five people). If your friends aren't quite up to snuff, register individually, and you'll be placed into a team with other trivia buffs when you arrive. Prizes will be given to the top two teams, along with bragging rights!

Do you like to share your ideas and reactions about titles you've read? Join our book club for a fun and lively discussion in a relaxed environment. This month's book is Horse by Geraldine Brooks. Give it a read and then come discuss it with our group -- we'd love to hear your thoughts! All book lovers are welcome!

Medicare Option 2 with SourcePoint

Wednesday, August 9 | 10 am

In this interactive workshop at Ostrander Branch Library, you’ll learn more about Medicare Advantage plans and compare benefits, costs, and provider networks. Bring a complete list of your medications and full names of your doctors, specialists, and hospitals. If possible, please bring your tablet or laptop.

Media Conversion Demonstration

Wednesday, August 9 | 5:30 pm

Do you have home movies on VHS tapes, but no VHS player where you can watch them? Convert your tapes to digital! Our new Liberty Maker Studio has all the equipment you need. This demonstration will feature staff operating our various Media Conversion tools and answering questions about their use. There is no hands-on aspect to this demonstration.  

Men's Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group

Thursday, August 24 | 10:30 am

Taking time to meet your own needs while caring for a loved one is absolutely necessary for the wellbeing of everyone involved. Caregiver support groups are a great way to connect and share with people in similar circumstances. Trained facilitators from the Alzheimer's Association will lead this support group. August Focus: The Maker Studio at Liberty

Did you know our new Liberty Branch Library has its own Maker Studio? It's true! Located on the lower level, our newest Maker Studio has much of the equipment you know and love, with some new additions of its own. Like our Delaware Studio, you'll find computers with design software, 3D printers, a wide-format printer (this one with UV curing for quicker drying!), laminator, heat press, and book binder. New to our Maker Studios and only available at Liberty are a photo light box, sublimation printer, and audio, video, and photo conversion equipment. You can learn more about all of our equipment on our website, or drop by on Wednesday, August 9 at 10:30 am for a full tour of our new space.

Community Music Fest & Art Exhibit

August 24 @ 5 pm | SourcePoint

What do you get when you have an art exhibit, live music, and food trucks all in one place? A summer celebration! Enjoy an indoor art exhibit featuring works by SourcePoint members and then step outside to grab a bite and experience the musical talents of local bands. This event is open to all!

My Neck of the Woods Book Club
