Mermaids!!!
Hi friends, it's Percy! Did you know that narwhals are sometimes called the unicorns of the sea? My friend Natalie Narwhal says mermaids are pretty awesome. If you visited Medieval Faire last year, you'll remember that we had mermaids. It was fun to visit with them. In this month's newsletter, we're going to go under the sea and learn about mermaids, fish, and other sea creatures. Let's dive into the fun together!
Percy's Tip for Grown-Ups: Mermaids might not be real, but pretend play is a wonderful way for your child to connect with the people and world around them. The American Academy of Pediatrics says imaginative play teaches kids how to socialize and strengthens their language development.

Oona and the Shark
Oona loves to share her inventions with her friends. They’re big and bold and LOUD -- just like her! But there’s one underwater creature who doesn’t seem to enjoy Oona’s company, or her creations: Stanley the shark! Will Oona and Stanley ever become friends?
Happy Salmon is a simple and silly card game. Players call out the action shown on their cards as fast as they can. When two players have a match, they celebrate by performing the action, like a "High 5" or the delightfully weird "Happy Salmon". The first person to get rid of all their cards wins. Happy Salmon is perfect to take to camp or vacation!
Meet Zooli, the new guppy in town! She's a super smart animal expert who isn't afraid to save the day. She joins Molly, Gil, and the rest of the Bubble Guppies for epic underwater adventures!
Why? Because they're pretty, tasty, and will help keep your littles hydrated on hot summer days! The Bitz n' Giggles blog has the easy recipe -- all you need is gatorade, food coloring, ice, and sugar.
Join us on Friday, July 21 at Orange Branch Library, and enjoy a farm experience with chicks, ducks, sheep, rabbits, goats, and more. Children and adults alike will be delighted by holding a baby chick or petting a wooly sheep.
