Jigsaw Puzzle Swap

Saturday, July 29 @ 2 pm

Do you love puzzles, but have completed ones you don't know what to do with? Would you love to try a new one? Exchange your gently used jigsaw puzzles with other puzzle enthusiasts! Join us in Orange Branch Library's Community Room on July 29th from 2-3 pm for our swap, or sit at one of the tables and try to complete one yourself. Puzzles can be donated in advance anytime the week of July 24-28 at Orange Branch Library; please check that no pieces are missing before swapping.

Engraved Garden Markers in the Maker Studio

Wednesday, July 5 | 3:30 pm

Join us in the Delaware Maker Studio for this FREE hands-on laser cutter class. We'll use the laser cutter to engrave a series of garden stakes to designate what plants are going to grow there. Participants will learn how to set up the project and engrave a small variety of stakes. All supplies are provided.

Falls Free Zone: Fall Prevention with SourcePoint

Thursday, July 13 | 1 pm

The experts from SourcePoint will join us at Delaware Main Library for this class. This presentation will teach you how to identify and address hazards in the home that increase the risk of falling to keep you safe in your own home for as long as possible. Pre-registration is required for this free class.

Bargain Book Sale at Delaware Main Library

Starts Friday, July 21 | 5 pm

The Friends of the Library (FOL) are hosting a Bargain Book Fair. Come out to add more books, DVDs, and resources to your personal library at a bargain! The sale runs on Friday, July 21 from 5-8 pm and continues on Saturday, July 22 from 9 am - 3 pm. Be sure to stop in the Community Room on Saturday to check out our sale DVDs, books on CD, and more!

Men's Alzheimer's Caregiver Support Group

Taking time to meet your own needs while caring for a loved one is absolutely necessary for the wellbeing of everyone involved. Caregiver support groups are a great way to connect and share with people in similar circumstances. Trained facilitators from the Alzheimer's Association will lead this support group. July Focus: Personalized Picks

Are you ever at a loss for what book to read next? Let us help! We offer a special service called Personalized Picks, which is being offered again for a limited time through August 19. Visit our Personalized Picks page on our website and fill out the form -- let us know the last few books that you read and enjoyed, what aspects you liked about them, and what you want us to steer you toward (or away from) for your next title. Then our librarians will get to work! In a few days, we'll send you a personalized booklist directly to your email with some new book suggestions based on your responses. Feel free to fill out the form again at any time, based on whatever reading mood you’re in!

Central Ohio Symphony 4th of July Concert

July 4 @ 7:30 pm | Phillips Glen, OWU

The concert will include film music, marches including John Philip Sousa and a salute to America’s veterans, and other patriotic and popular music. The concert will end with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture with theater cannon blasts and Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever. The City of Delaware’s renowned fireworks display will follow the concert. Lawn seating is free; limited reserved chair seating in front of the stage is available for $10.00.

Gallant Woods Thursday Evening Concert Series

June 27 @ 7 pm | Gallant Woods 

Join Preservation Parks for music in the parks at Gallant Woods Park. On Thursday, July 27, Swing's the Thing will have your toes tapping to the sounds of big band music. Hogback BBQ food truck will be on site for dinner. Bring your lawn chair, a group of friends, and enjoy a great outdoor concert in a beautiful venue! Concerts fun from 7 - 8:30 pm.
